We’re proud to have won the Supply Chain Sustainability Project of the Year at the 2026 edie awards for our work with farmers to reduce the climate impacts of growing rice.

This recognition belongs first and foremost to the farmers in our supply chain, and to our teams in India who work alongside them – combining practical action with shared learning to reduce emissions and strengthen livelihoods.

A more sustainable future for rice

Changing how rice is grown in paddy fields

We’re partnering with thousands of basmati farmers in Northern India to pioneer more sustainable ways of producing rice. Since its launch in 2021, our Responsible Growing Programme has created measurable benefits for people, nature and the climate. Now, we’re supporting ground-breaking field research with the University of Cambridge Crop Science Centre to explore ways we can reduce the impacts of rice further.

We’re constantly looking for better ways to do business un the UK an employer and a manufacturer. This includes investing in new technologies to improve energy and water efficiency and reduce emissions at our two UK manufacturing sites in Rainham, Essex. I also means investing in initiatives to take care of our employees’ wellbeing.

Fighting food poverty with The Felix Project

Tilda is one of The Felix Project’s longest- term suppliers. We have worked together to help tackle food poverty in London since its foundation in 2017. Tilda rice is an integral ingredient of many of the meals that are made and served at Felix’s Kitchen, reaching almost 3.7 meals in the last year.
